Planning your trip to Wales

Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, is approximately 2 hours by rail and 2 ¾ hours by road from London.

If you are planning a recce in Wales then your first point of contact should be the Wales Screen Commission. We can advise on the best method of getting to and around Wales and where you might wish to stay overnight. Provided you meet our requirements with regards to the serious possibility that you might film in Wales, we can provide free road transport within Wales to visit locations and facilities. We do not normally cover the cost for overnight accommodation, (although we can help you find the best deals) nor do we normally cover the cost of getting to and from Wales.
