All productions arriving in Wales from overseas should employ a UK location manager. You can use our crew database to find a location manager in Wales or alternatively visit the website of the Guild of Location Managers.
The Wales Screen Commission does not issue permits for filming in Wales. However you will need the permission of the location owner who, in most cases, will charge a location fee. It is normal for you to have a contract with the location owner (click here for a sample contract*).
An information sheet with further guidance relating to health and safety on location can be found at the Health and Safety Executive website.
